Not only was the studio a beautifully constructed space in a special, magical location, but Nicki's instruction was spectacular, comfortably guiding postures, breath, and mindset even for a beginner like me. I can't wait to go back next time I'm on Maui.
2nd Review: As stated in our 1st review, below, we're circling back to provide updates on the continuing work being performed by Hawaii Vegetation Control (HVC).
To this point, Claude and his team at HVC have completed a series of planned projects on our property, including excavation and grading, tree removal, stump removal, demolition of a failing asphalt driveway and contiguous masonry wall, and -- most impressively -- installation of a kiawe wood fence.
Work is ongoing, but recent completion of the fence triggered this review. HVC was fast, efficient, careful, attentive, and skilled. Claude communicated clearly throughout the process and sought our input at key junctures. In our opinion, the final product is spectacular. The attached photos were taken during construction; once the driveway is complete and the landscaping has grown in, it will be even more impressive.
We're now working with them on getting ready for installation of the new driveway and some other projects.
Along the way, we have contracted with HVC to handle our regular yard maintenance and, to the point, we're very pleased with their work.
Looking forward to working with Claude on future projects.
1st Review: Exceptional work, solid communications. We're extremely thankful to have connected with Claude and his crew at Hawaii Vegetation Control. We've just completed Phase I of what will be at least a two phase project and I'm impressed. As importantly, Claude kept us informed throughout the process and made valuable recommendations along the way. After we get through the next phase(s) of work, I'll circle back with another review and, hopefully, some photos that show the final products. Highly recommended.
Can’t say enough good things about Ali’i Pool Service. They provided excellent pool service for my in-laws for more than twenty years with professionalism and heart. It was a pleasure dealing with Ali’i when it was time for my husband and I to step in to help with house management. We found Daniel, Keali’i, and all the others there to be responsive, caring, honest, and willing to go the extra mile, with Daniel making a special trip when we eventually sold the house to train and familiarize the new buyers with the pool and spa controls. As I read in one of the other reviews Ali’i has a lot of Aloha. You can depend on them to keep your pool and spa in tip-top shape.
We hired We Clean Maui for a construction deep clean, and they exceeded all expectations. Their attention to detail was nothing short of extraordinary. Every single surface, no matter how small or out of reach, was thoroughly dusted. They meticulously cleaned and replaced every dish, ornament, and item on bookshelves with great care and precision. No corner was overlooked—every cabinet, dresser, and drawer was cleaned to perfection inside and out.
What truly impressed us was the care and craftsmanship they brought to their work. They treated our belongings and space as if it were their own, ensuring every item was handled thoughtfully and replaced exactly as they found it. The level of dedication and thoroughness they displayed is a rare find in any service industry.
When they finished, our space didn’t just feel clean—it was transformed. Every square inch gleamed, radiating a freshness that can only come from the highest standard of cleaning. We cannot recommend We Clean Maui highly enough for their unparalleled professionalism and skill.

Kourtney is awesome! I needed my nails done when I was on Maui a couple of weeks ago, and I'm so glad I was able to go see her at Polished in Haiku. She is a perfectionist and I SO appreciate that. One of my nails didn't set right (shellac) and she completely redid it and made sure it was perfect. I hope I have the opportunity to visit her again next time we are visiting family in Upcountry!
