Wildwood Lifestyle Center is a special place offering a comprehensive health program in a peaceful, beautiful countryside setting. The caring, committed, and professional staff provide a supportive environment focused on the Adventist lifestyle. The program includes health education, hydrotherapy, and wholesome food, with many guests learning new things and applying them at home to manage conditions like diabetes, high cholesterol, and for weight loss. The clinic staff are kind and helpful, and many find the experience life-changing, allowing them to reconnect with God and feel deeply blessed and refreshed. While the experience is generally positive, there are some inconsistencies. The grounds are beautiful and the kitchen staff is friendly, but there have been rare issues with food quality. The medical care can vary, with some reporting a lack of effective communication or adequate explanation of results from their assigned doctor. Some accommodations, like the mattresses, could be of better quality. Overall, the program is highly rated for its compassionate, healing atmosphere and the ongoing support from instructors and chaplains, leaving a lasting impression of hope.
It's been years since I visited Wildwood, but I just want to say that it was life changing for me. I continue to control my diabetes the natural way, and praise God for the good work that is done through the Adventist lifestyle centers.
The caring committed professional staff, the comprehensive nature of your offering and the ongoing collaboration and coordination within the program, are some features for which I will rate the program highly.
Overall, my experience was generally positive. Charity was amazing, and the kitchen staff was very friendly and kind. Unfortunately, the head cook became ill, and for two days we were served by other staff who did their best; however, on two separate occasions we were given fruit that had visible mold, which was very disappointing.
I was also unhappy with the doctor assigned to me. She lacked both effective communication skills and adequate medical knowledge. My bloodwork results were worse in several areas compared to when I was first admitted.
