I volunteer regularly with Omega Support Center helping distribute senior food boxes, and I’m grateful to be part of seeing firsthand how much this ministry means to people in our community. Many recipients share how much the food and support help them, and since one of my own friends receives a box, I’ve seen the impact from both sides.
There’s also a wonderful sense of fellowship among volunteers, and the monthly community dinners bring people together in ways that truly feel like family. Omega also helped me when I was starting my own business through their startup course, which gave me practical guidance and encouragement.
I met Ms. Bloodworth a few years ago and found her so Loving and considerate of the Seniors in the Tucker community. I knew then I would support her when I can. I did not relies how many Seniors in Tucker need food and Support. The Tucker City Government has not realizes the work Ms. Bloodworth has put forth. I want to congratulate Ms. Christy Bloodworth for a job well done. I am a volunteer myself and I did not realize how many people need food assistance. Omega Support Center is truly a blessing to the Tucker community. The CEO Christy Bloodsworth and her team do amazing work for the citizens of Dekalb County making sure that their nutritional needs are met through their weekly and monthly food distribution along with providing toiletries.
