Piedmont McDuffie provides a positive and caring hospital experience across many services. Patients consistently describe the best experience, with excellent care and a very clean facility. The staff, including nurses, doctors, and technicians, are repeatedly noted as extremely kind, very pleasant, compassionate, attentive, professional, friendly, skilled, and thorough. They make patients feel comfortable, cared for, and understood. This high standard of care is reported in the Emergency Room, for scheduled surgery, and for outpatient procedures like mammograms. The ER receives specific praise for impressively quick registration and triage, amazing urgency, and for being the best emergency room experience. Surgical patients note that perioperative nurses are genuinely caring and skilled. The overall environment is one where every person encountered is nice, ensuring patients get the care they need very quickly. Many patients express gratitude and state they will return or recommend the facility to friends.
I was treated like my pain didn’t matter. On April 26 I went in having severe pain thinking it was my appendix and all the doctor did was give me Robaxin and as I told him I was still in pain before he was wanting to discharge me he told me I looked content. Piedmont has definitely gone downhill since university and I would not recommend using them as a hospital
Took my son to the Emergency Room and no one wanted to do thier jobs. Doctor there acted like I didn't know my son tried to tell me some false information. Didn't want to run any test. I had to force them to do the labs then when I called for an update no one knew what they were talking about, extremely rude and said I had to go somewhere else for labs cause they couldn't do them right. Very unprofessional place. Don't want to do the job but I'm sure they'll have no problem when it comes to the bill.
From the moment we walked in to a cheerful receptionist, to the last goodbye following surgery, Piedmont McDuffie exhibited a thorough professionalism that impressed. A special call out to pre-op nurse Michelle and surgical nurse Jazz. You very adeptly eased our family member's pre-surgical anxiety with efficiency and compassion.
