I recently felt a rough area on one of my back jaw teeth & thought it was a filling going bad. Nope I grind my teeth at night & ground through the porcelain of a crown. Dr Pate Smith smoothed the area & I have had no issues since. I love this Dr & his staff, makes me feel better about going to the dentist.

Overpriced and unprofessional service. Private money hungry dentists. They will charge you a lot. They don’t accept a lot of insurances. Beware. I came in with a pain and left with a pain. They hide your bill under paperwork. I feel ashamed to be associated with them as my dentists. Never again will I go back to them. They are not willing to work with you and want their money and if you don’t pay them they will go to collections without your knowledge. I saw someone named Dr. Smith he was not very knowledgeable and wants to extract your tooth so he can make more money. Run!

Excellent care and kindness! The receptionist, Katherine, was friendly and welcoming on the phone as well as the front desk at check in and check out. The dental assistant, Kay, took great care of my needs, and made me feel comfortable. Dr. Pate Smith was knowledgeable and had a great sense of humor! He took the time to explain the procedure and answer my questions. Great job Islands Family Dental!
