Me and a friend went in and got matching pet memorial tattoos with Lad, who is truly skilled at what he does and is awesome to talk to. My friend had a real hard time getting her tattoo and he was so great about giving her breaks in the session so she could breathe and prep herself. Would 1000% recommend him for pet portraits, he paid such close attention to our pets faces when recreating them.

My experience was great from the desk to the end of the session.I booked an appointment with Alex Paiva a few weeks in advance. I am from Los Angeles and have taken a trip to Savannah to enjoy the city and to see him at this shop for yet another piece. I have collected 5 pieces from him since 2016.I consider Alex to be a collaborator and a partner in this process. He works with my idea and turns it into his vision. He is a natural and a prodigy. My last two pieces have been freehanded with a sharpie in the Japanese style, and they are each nothing less than a masterpiece.Thank you Alex.Photo is of a Chrysanthemum, freehanded in the Japanese style by Alex Paiva.

I highly, highly recommend Black Orchid tattoo for anyone, whether its your 1st tattoo or your 100th, its the place to go. My artist was Lad and I knew I wanted a half sleeve and some of the elements I wanted in it but nothing else. Lad took the time to compile hundreds of pictures for my initial consultation for each element from me to choose from. The day of the tattoo Lad took the time to make sure everything was placed and sized the way I wanted it. The end result is amazing and the lines are so clean. I'm very excited to go back and finish the shading and will update when I do with pictures. .......Lad is the man and go to Black Orchid
