Island Animal Hospital provides exceptional care to its patients. For 12 years, a part-time patient from North Carolina has received excellent care from the kind and caring staff. The hospital offers same-day appointments, which is convenient for pet owners. The staff is loving and patient, taking the time to examine pets thoroughly and answer questions. The doctors are informative and provide immediate answers through in-house blood work. All employees, from the front desk to the technicians, are friendly and welcoming, showing their genuine love for animals. The care is exceptional, with 5-star service. The staff is always awesome. One doctor did an excellent job, was very patient, and excited and pleased with a cut. They allowed purchase of GI food even though not a patient, and were so nice. A great well pet visit, with a doctor who listened to concerns, checked the dog over with care, explained what was needed, and remembered past concerns.
My snowshoe ragdoll cat, Gracie, needed an ultrasound, and Dr. Luckstone was wonderful! She was very kind and patient with my nervous girl, and is very knowledgeable regarding ultrasounds. The entire staff is very kind and professional. I highly recommend this Veterinary practice!
If I could give Island Animal Hospital more stars, I would. My dog, Midge, ingested an unknown substance at our hotel while we were visiting, and her symptoms were scary to say the least. I called another clinic, but Midge's rabies tag wasn't considered sufficient proof of vaccination, and they needed the actual paperwork from my vet before they'd see her. While I was trying to sort that out, my friend called Island Animal Hospital, who said they could get her in right away. Needless to say, I hung up and rushed her over.
