We've been in Midway for a couple of years, all the while, trying this salon and that to try to find someone who can perm, cut and style my Mom's hair the way SHE likes -- she's almost 89, and she is super particular about her hair, as well she should be(!). Honestly, I so wish we'd found this place long before now, but now that we have, I just wanted to let everyone know about these amazing women. If you need a great perm, cut, style, this is the place! No frills, super homey, not a 'swanky' kind of salon, but that's part of what I loved about it -- they made Mama feel comfortable and at ease, which is SO important. Also, Mama has mobility issues, uses a walker, is currently in a lot of pain due to back/hip problems, but Kristen handled the situation like a PRO and with such support and compassion for my Mom, I felt really secure in leaving her in good hands for the hour or so it took to get the job done. When I came back a little early, we all sat around chatting as Kristen was finishing Mama's hair -- and I just wanna say, Lisa and Kristen are such sweet and kind ladies. It was refreshing and fun to just hang out and shoot the breeze for a little while. And after all that, the whole deal was only $80! I haven't seen my Mom's hair look that good in years!
