“Kiara and Chandra have both provided excellent service. The wax specialists are especially compassionate and communicate well before, during, and after service. Chandra especially makes the experience as painless as possible by reminding to breathe before taking off a section, and immediately applying pressure to the area afterwards. Chandra also gave genuine advice rather than just trying to upsell - after a skin consultation she advised against waxing certain parts of my face because they're too sensitive to the heat and ripping, pointing me towards threading instead. They also recommended exemplary products (after giving samples) that have helped my skin in between waxes more than anything else, and the high-quality products have lasted me a long time. I typically would go to Brazilian Wax by Andreia for brazilian wax (which also provides good service and cleanliness... I switched to Andreia after using European Wax Center years ago), but I have to admit that the slightly higher prices at Waxing the City are justified in my opinion. This is an area where I tend to be self-conscious, and the staff here were not only discreet and respectful, but went above and beyond to reassure me and help me understand my skin problems so I could take action to improve my overall skin health.”
