I booked an appointment over the phone last weekend for a mani pedi before I fly to NY for a wedding as a friend recommended them but when I called ahead to confirm my appointment I was told they had no appointment for me. The man answering the phone was hard to understand and he did not understand me either but he said to go in. When I arrived there was no greeting as I stood there but eventually a voice told me to get my polish and take a seat for a pedicure. All heads were down with no acknowledgement of me being there. After 15 minutes a young lady came over, put the plastic in the foot bath and left it running. Once full I put my feet in it and sat for almost 25 minutes when another young lady who could speak English came to do my pedicure. Halfway through she was joined by the person to do my fingernails. Everything was done in my seat and all the while the two of them carried on a conversation over me in their own language. I thought it very unprofessional and there was no relaxing. I did not stay for polish on my toes as I’d been in there over an hour and a half just my fingernails and was presented with a bill for $54 and they wanted a cash tip. I think it was a try on to see how much this English woman would take. It was definitely not value for money but it was very clean in there and my pedicure done without cuts or pain. If only these people could be more professional and a bit more friendly. I will go again if only to get to know them and maybe they will be more friendly.
