if i could give 0 stars… i would. DO NOT bring your pet here. these people are so unempathetic and all they care about is how much money they can squeeze out of you by the end of your visit. ZERO sense of urgency either.

When a pet in distress and can barely breathe, I expect the vet to shoot straight with us and do what's best for the animal. We took our cat in on New Years Eve because she had developed an asthmatic condition and could not breathe well. She also had stopped eating, drinking, and using the bathroom. I knew it was the end for our sweet girl, and I just wanted to put her to rest and end her suffering. Instead, they claimed that they needed to run a bunch of tests, guilting us into paying a bunch of money before the vet even took one look at our cat. So we paid $1700 for blood tests, x-rays, and some medication that was supposed to help her breathe a bit better and took her back home until we could get her to the vet near our home. $1700 wasted. The next day on New Years Day, our home vet told us that our sweet girl had indeed met her end and we laid our sweet girl to rest. That cost us another $600. This place wanted nothing but to pump us for money. We will never be back.

Great staff. I have been there twice and both times they did a great job.

I called at 6:30 this morning, my foster kitten ate some thyroid medication. Receptionist told me to call poison control (that’s fine) but that if my cat ended up needing medical attention, to take her somewhere else because they were closing at 8am….!? So they’re turning away EMERGENCY patients an hour and a half before closing? Why be in the emergency business at all? So they obviously don’t have compassion or care for the actual animals they’re supposed to be helping. Take your kiddos elsewhere if at all possible!

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET HERE! Big bill, very little help. Unable to perform common procedures but claim to be an “emergency clinic”. If possible, wait and use your primary vet. Save your money and pet.

No stars if I could. These people do not care about YOU or YOUR PET. My dig choked on a bone and we got it out at home. My dig has a regular vet and plan but It was after hours and I wanted to make sure my baby was ok following this. I called and the receptionist told me it would be $250 to just walk in. How much would this visit cost me? I asked. Not knowing exactly what would ve done she said well about $1,200. For what ? To examine her ? Smh
This was not my first run with this place. Took a sick cat before where they charged me 300$ to say my cat would die unless I pay 12,000 for care. I actually let the estimate.. They are not here for animals.. they are only here for $ money$$$. Thank God my regular vet cares and isn’t here just for money
If you got it , then go they’ll probably do well but they’ll run up more than a months rent on you.
    Bad people bad humans

We were very impressed with the care given to our Penny Mae during her emergency last night. Excellent communication from the staff to us, professionalism was right on, and the expediting of her treatment was spot on. Our Penny is much better today and we thank the staff of Westside Emergency Animal Hospital for the excellent care provided.

Do NOT come here if your pet is in a life or death situation. Our dog hurt his foot and we couldn’t stop his bleeding so we came to Westside Animal Emergency Clinic. It took an hour before we saw any techs, and almost 2 hours before our dog actually received any kind of treatment. All of the workers stayed in the back room. During the time we were waiting, 3 people came in with their animals and left to go somewhere else because no one was up front or helping. A better name for this place is an After Hours Clinic because they definitely are not a place to go in an emergency.
