I absolutely love this academy! As soon as I walk into the shop I see a yellow aura all throughout the ladies there! I get every haircut of mine there and I've not once left dissatisfied! I definitely recommend any queen to go and experience this place.
As a graduate from Keune i would like respectfully disagree with Katie Job’s comment. Graduating from a class that was the “most diverse” i myself have never felt or heard anyone promote slavery as being acceptable. If you have any issues or concerns the people in charge of these instructors or myself would love to have a conversation about this matter. Everyone has their own beliefs and political views but they treat everyone the same. i am black and apart of the lgbtq+ community and i have NEVER felt like i was treated poorly or differently for it.
I had a great visit to Keune Academy! I brought a child with natural hair for a silk press and since I knew her hair would take some time, I had my hair shampooed and flat ironed while I waited. It’s not a black hair school and I went with understanding and expectations that the students weren’t experienced with our hair textures and that the availability of products would be minimal in comparison to what I’m use to. Despite students not being familiar with the handling of our texture, it was apparent that they understood it from their studies and put in commendable efforts to put what they learned into practice.
