This place genuinely changed my life. I’ve had bad vision for as long as I can remember and wore ortho k night contacts for over 10 years, but I eventually got tired of having to put something in my eyes every night and constantly dealing with dryness from contacts. I’d heard about the SMILE procedure for a while, but I couldn’t find a place in GA that offered it and I was also hesitant because of my age.
That changed when I was recommended to see Dr. Asraf. Apparently, he’s either the only or one of the only ophthalmologists in GA who performs SMILE. I already knew I wanted SMILE because of the fast recovery time, so I was thrilled to find out I was a good candidate.
I was definitely nervous because anything involving the eyes feels so vulnerable, but Dr. Asraf reassured me every step of the way and made me feel completely safe. The procedure itself was incredibly quick (about 10 minutes) and totally painless.
I went from -5.75 vision to 20/20, and I no longer need contacts or glasses. I’m so happy with my results.

I had the Laseroptix procedure at Atlanta Vision Institute with Dr. Ashraf, and it has truly been life-changing.

Before the procedure, my near vision was so poor that even reading a menu or looking at food on my plate was blurry. I saw ghosting at a distance — like stop signs and license plates — and I was completely dependent on readers.

I had glasses everywhere: in my car, at home, in my gym bag, in the bathroom, even hanging on my shirt all day. I couldn’t use my phone, stream shows, or work out without them.

Dr. Ashraf and his staff made the entire process comfortable and reassuring. They explained everything clearly, answered all my questions, and treated me with genuine care.

Now, my vision is crisp and clear. I can read my phone and computer without readers, drive with normal sunglasses, and even go to the gym without carrying glasses. Colors are more vibrant, and all the issues I struggled with before are gone.
