Getting SMILE Laser Surgery performed by Dr. Ashraf is one of the best decisions I've made. I had high nearsightedness (~ -7.00) and astigmatism for both eyes, however, after the surgery, my vision are spectacularly improved and I can see clearly without glasses (nearly 20/20).The surgery only took up to 10 minutes for both eyes, and the burning pain only lasted for one hour after the anesthesia wear off in my case.Not only I am very pleased with the surgery's outcome but also the friendliness of Dr. Ashraf and the staffs, they made me feel like home! I first considered Lasik at the Atlanta Vision Institute because a friend had gotten it done last year and had a great experience. I'll admit getting a virtual consultation scheduled was a bit of a struggle but everything else went great, and honestly I probably would recommend just doing the in person consultation instead.I got consultations done here as well as LasikPlus and chose Dr. Ashraf for a couple of reasons.1) The vision institute offers SMILE in addition to LASIK and PRK. The experience itself was a great one! I had previously seen 2 other LASIK surgeons and decided not to go see them because of their bedside manner and pricing. The pricing here at Atlanta Vision was reasonable for the procedure.Dr. Ashraf has an extremely great bedside manner. He explains the differences between SMILE and LASIK and pleasantly answered any questions that my boyfriend and I had at the time.To be honest, I was anxious at the thought of the surgery but everything went smoothly. I definitely would recommend him to others who are interested in getting eye surgery performed!
