I was not happy with my first visit. The staff was friendly and courteous, and I appreciate that. However, I scheduled my appointment for a preventive cleaning. I understood that X-rays would likely be needed, and according to my insurance, those should have been covered at 100%.
Instead, I was charged $112 for the X-rays, did not receive the cleaning I scheduled, and was told I needed to reschedule for a deep cleaning that would cost even more. After waiting two months for this appointment, it was very disappointing to leave without having my teeth cleaned.
It felt like the focus was more on what could be billed than on providing the preventive service I came in for. We pay for dental insurance expecting preventive care to be covered, and my insurance agent told me I should not have had to pay for the X-rays.
Overall, while the staff was kind, my experience left me frustrated and disappointed. I hope this process can be made clearer for future patients so they know exactly what to expect before their appointment. Other then that I would have given 5 stars

I’ve had a great experience with the Dental Associates of Grovetown. I did need to be patient and proactive to set up a deep cleaning with conscious sedation meds (it took about three months from an initial exam to the deep cleans), but in doing so the care and treatment plan that I received was affordable and served my needs well. Dr. Marshall was non-judgmental and made me feel comfortable even though I have avoided dental care out of anxiety and fear for years. She provided the necessary accommodations for me to move forward and get on the right track with my dental care. I am confident that I can now keep up with regular exams and cleanings within a comfortable and inclusive practice. If you have fears or anxiety, they will help you through with transparency, patience, and when needed, supplemental support for treating your fears and anxiety. The front desk associates are very caring and professional. One of them went out of her way to make sure I got what I needed and it was so very appreciated! Again, with patience and proactively, I have had a wonderful experience with Dr. Marshall and her team.

Me and my little girl both had teeth cleanings. 2:00 and 3:00. They cleaned her teeth no problem, done around 2:45. I sat there until 4:15 and they finally asked me if I was trying to get my teeth cleaned today or reschedule because they had 3 people scheduled over me. I left. Deondre the specialist is cool though

The staff is so friendly. When I walk in the receptionist greets me by name. My dental hygienist is so funny. He constantly makes me laugh and makes me want to come back again. I love this place!
