I gifted a prenatal massage to one of my besties earlier this year, who is very familiar and has had multiple massages in the past (some for post cosmetic surgery like lymphatic drainage I believe it’s called).

First off, before you even step through the door, they make you fill out a questionnaire about your health and medications. This was the first time a spa had done this for my friend. So you aren’t just number, and the massage is catered specifically for you as an individual.

Her masseuse, Treasure proved to be…….wait for it……an ABSOLUTE TREASURE (sorry, had to do it, lol). My bestie came out as goo after her session and told me how wonderful Treasure was and how she also educated her on her past massages, answering all of my bestie’s questions.

Not only is she certified in prenatal massage, but after talking to her, my bestie found out that her previous lymphatic massages at another spa were NOT supposed to be painful at all, as it’s one of the most gentle massages you can get. That it sounded like she had received a deep tissue massage instead post surgery, which was extremely painful for her.

And for those whose buns are cooking a little too long in the oven, there are prenatal massaging techniques that can possibly help kickstart labor in a safe natural way.

As for myself, I went to the spa around the finishing time and the ladies upfront were very kind and welcoming. I was invited to sit in their beautiful and large waiting room while my bestie finished up.
