“I cannot speak highly enough about the Recon Team at ServPro. This is going to be a long review. But the TLDR: if you want to experience working with a team that works with you through a difficult time in your life, patiently and kindly, through everything instead of against you these are the right people to hire.

In February of last year we had a leak under our kitchen sink that caused our entire lower kitchen to be ripped out and our entire downstairs floors to be replaced. After mitigation, I interviewed 5 different reconstruction companies including the one recommended by our insurance company. Out of all 5 companies, ServPro, and specifically Terry, was the only company that worked hand in hand with me through the entire process of writing an estimate and getting our insurance to approve the cost of reconstruction. We had not even hired them yet but Terry worked tirelessly without any complaints to make sure our very unreasonable adjuster gave us the money we needed to complete our reconstruction. Terry was completely transparent through the whole process and made sure we understood everything that was going on. The other 4 highly rated companies refused to either even show us the estimate they wrote until we hired them, or refused to even write an estimate until we hired them. The contrast in experiences was wild. Naturally we hired ServPro solely based on our experience with Terry and his willingness to work with us.

Our experience after that was consistent with what happened before we hired them. Terry and then Chris, our project manager, worked with us through everything. Along the way, a 2 month project turned into 7 months due to unforeseen hiccups, but never once did we feel like we were fighting with ServPro to get what we needed. Terry and Chris were always on our side and if a mistake was made by their subs, or if their subs did not do the work per our standard they always made sure to correct it and do it right, at no additional expense to us.

Fast forward 1 year and we called them back to fix some minor things that needed fixing before our 1 year warranty expired, and even that was such a pleasant experience. Chris no longer worked there so we got assigned a new project manager Taylor who was also extremely friendly and kind. We ran into some hiccups with the first subs that were hired at no fault of anybody in particular, but Taylor immediately understood our gripes and assured us he was going to remedy the situation and was sending new subs. Due to scheduling issues our project manager was changed again to TC who was also wonderful. He came with the subs and stayed the entire time they were working to make sure they did the work correctly. Just like our first experience, we ran into some hiccups and a 1/1.5 day project stretched into 1 month, but again, at no point did I feel like we were working against each other, they understood all our issues and made sure that we were perfectly happy at the end.

In the end, despite things taking longer than planned, the feeling of working together to make things right in our house, and care and compassion that every person at Servpro has showed to us through our entire experience was invaluable during a very difficult time of our lives when everything was turned upside down. Hopefully we don’t need to, but I would not hesitate to hire them again if we ever go through another disaster in our home.“

First and foremost, Tori was a lifesaver. Her and Wilkur were first on the scene. As someone who had never been through a flood before, I was in complete shock. Tori took the time to explain everything to me in detail, no matter how many times I needed clarification. Her patience and professionalism made a stressful situation more bearable, and I truly appreciate how thorough and kind she was in helping me navigate the entire process.

Next, I must mention Wilkur, who brought a much-needed burst of energy and positivity to the team. His constant smile and uplifting attitude helped me stay calm when I wanted to lose my mind. Wilkur was truly a ray of sunshine in a dark moment, and I couldn’t have asked for a better person to have around during such a stressful time. He was super funny. He had a field day when he realized my toilet seat was motion sensored. He thought it was the coolest thing. Not only was it sensored it has a remote that has many settings allowed the lights to change colors every so often be hid the toilet.

Now, where do I even begin with Ashley, Kristin, and Cailin? These three women are nothing short of extraordinary.

Ashley was a rock throughout this entire process. She was not only incredibly patient but also unbelievably kind. She reassured me every step of the way, making sure I felt supported and never alone. During this overwhelming time, I always felt that if I had any question or concern, I could turn to her. Her calm, comforting presence helped me keep my head together when things felt chaotic. It was clear that she genuinely cared, and I will be forever grateful for her kindness and her ability to bring peace to a very stressful situation.

Kristin wow. She is an absolute wealth of knowledge. Having so many years of experience in the business, Kristin took the time to educate me on everything I needed to know. She was never in a rush and made sure I understood the next steps, giving me the clarity I desperately needed. More than just answering my questions, she also anticipated what I would need to know, keeping me in the loop with regular updates and giving me heads-up about what to expect so I wouldn’t be caught off guard. Her thoughtfulness and expertise really stood out. Kristin made me feel empowered rather than overwhelmed, and for that, I am incredibly grateful.

And then there’s Cailin where do I even start? Cailin was so dedicated and on top of everything. She was always so quick to respond, and every time she left my house, she made sure to update me on exactly what had been done. What really impressed me was that, if for some reason I couldn’t pick up the phone, she always made sure to leave a detailed voicemail, making sure I knew what happened during her visit and if there was anything I needed to be aware of. Her thoroughness and consistency made me feel confident that nothing was slipping through the cracks. Cailin’s positive attitude and constant communication made the entire experience smoother and more bearable.

When it came to the physical work of cleaning up and packing up my home, I was fortunate to have De'Marco, Quez, and DaMarion on the job. These young men were incredibly respectful, compassionate, and hard-working. They handled all my belongings with such care and precision, taking their time to do the job right. Quez especially stood out for his politeness, always calling me “ma’am” and showing such respect. It made me smile every time, and it was clear that they put 100% into everything they did.“

“I wish I could give them 6/5 stars. I had two previous mold inspectors come out and leave telling me there was no mold in my apartment even though a urine test came back showing I have mold illness. This company is the first one that actually found the mold. They were SO thorough, looked in all of my vents and behind baseboards, and knew what clues to look for that aren’t obvious (like looking for rust as a sign of past water damage, not just obvious mold).
