I booked an appointment for a haircut and I explained to the stylist that I mainly wanted just curtain bangs and face framing layers. She proceeded to cut long layers into my hair, which is what I didn’t want. My hair is now shorter than what I would like it to be at, and it took me quite a while to grow out my hair where I no longer had long layers. I wish she had confirmed with me again before she just started chopping away at my hair. I had also asked if she could blend my shorter bangs but she did not do that as well. I don’t think I would even want to come back if they offered to fix it because there isn’t anything to fix.

I have always had a positive experience with Juno. He is great at cutting Asian hair and even fixed a terrible haircut I received from another salon. I have been going here ever since I was little and you can't beat the price too :D

Jen gives me 100% of her attention the minute that I walk into the store. She's so accommodating, professional, and gentle with my hair. I will keep coming back to her for all of my color, cut, and styling needs. Thank you Jen!

I'm extremely disappointed that Christine booked someone else during my appointment time without notifying me, despite my long history of loyalty to the business. In today's digital age, there are numerous ways to communicate and inform customers of changes, such as rescheduling for a later time. Unfortunately, today's experience was so poor.

If you have naturally thick with a medium-to-coarse texture, I would strongly advise against going here. Unfortunately, the stylist (Julie) clearly lacked experience with this hair type. My sister’s hair was severely damaged—essentially fried—after her appointment. We trusted the results shown on their Instagram page, which turned out to be misleading. We paid over $500 for an ash blonde color, only for the hair to turn green after the first wash. No after care or potential damages were discussed.

Julie had clearly over-toned it, yet instead of taking accountability, upon confronting she accused my sister of going somewhere else to get it done. This kind of gaslighting is unacceptable. Mistakes happen, but refusing to own up to them is unprofessional. Sadly, I cannot recommend this place to anyone!

With the popularity of the hime cut, I thought this place would know how to do it. Mrs. Park is nice, but she does not know how to do it like she claims. She was nice and took her time doing it, but somehow it came out all choppy, uneven, and the layers didn't blend. I also found out you're not supposed to include the sideburns, but she did. I had to go home and even it out myself. I thought about it for two days and called them to refund me over the phone. They told me to come in for refund, but I don't want to step back in there. Lesson learned and money wasted for bangs cut that was worse than if I did it myself. Make sure to research your hairstylist and not blindly trust...

This place is outright a joke. I called in advance to book Juno a whole week prior and no day was he available, the call lady could not fit me in for one short haircut. I don’t think they even conditioned my hair as well when they washed it. The lady that cut my hair was an old Korean lady with very short hair. I told her i’ve had bad experiences and don’t f me over, i showed her MULTIPLE pics of a layered haircut I wanted, and when she was done, she had the audacity to charge me $50(without tipping). I went to scissor hands and they charged 2 haircuts for less than $50. The second thing was she did a horrendous job. As hard as i tried persuading myself i “liked” the haircut, the truth is I CANNOT TOLERATE IT. Every morning i wake up angry. This haircut is so choppy and bad, uneven on both sides, people even ask me if i cut it myself. Imagine cutting your client’s hair so bad they ask your client if an amateur did it. My 2 year old niece could cut hair better than you guys. I don’t know how cutting hair could be your career and your livelihood, yet you are this bad. Id prefer a dog bite my hair off, because nothing could look worse than what you have done to my hair. My family keeps asking me if i was sure i went to a salon or cut the hair myself. Everyone says it looks NOTHING like the pictures i showed them either. Absolutely insane. I tried to go to another salon to get it fixed and the hair stylist absolutely flamed Pika Pika for what they did to my hair, it’s a joke. Pika pika is just a brand, in reality no skill, it actually looks bad. I can’t even say much because i didn’t even get Juno who i originally wanted a week prior. This place is a joke, you have ruined my life until my hair grows back completely which will take like 1-2 year. Do not go to this place unless you want to live the next few years with full regret. Im nice so i even tipped before i left, but i will make sure to tell everyone I know to never come here again, Go to scissor hands, do not waste your money or time on this trash of a place

I feel like most people can relate that a bad experience with hair can really change the way you feel about yourself, so personally for me it's worth it to take time to research who's good and pay for quality. I'm sooo glad I came across Pika Pika Hair Salon, and especially that I got to work with Sandy who's been there 7 years. She took time to patiently listen to all my ideas and suggestions and even offered her own professional opinions. My hair has a lot of character, so I'm always a little worried getting a fresh cut. Sandy made me feel very comfortable as she worked her magic, and I'm beyond happy and grateful for how everything came out! This cut cost me $45 + tip on top of that. If you go, please also remember to budget for tipping!

Requested style: Short. Edgy. Lots of layers and the front to be longer to gradually cover the eyes.

Hair type: Thick, wavy, Asian hair.

    Stylist: Sandy. She was amazing!

We called a week before to book an appointment and we were supposed to come in at 1 pm, but when we arrived we were told to wait and that they did not have our appointment. After waiting an hour and seeing others getting haircuts and leaving, we decided to ask for an update on our haircut but received no answer. Their haircuts looked very promising and we wished that we could have gotten one but unfortunately, we will not be coming here again.
