“This is my new favorite braiding salon. Hands down. The quality of their work is excellent. I’m a snob and I’ll invest in quality. It’s worth it. I got waist-length boho braids for a special occasion and they were not only beautiful but they lasted. The salon provides many style options and human hair is included in the pricing. Makes my life easy. The owner is very exacting and takes care to ensure her clients are well cared for and the braiders are all exceptional.“

“first time booking here while visiting from michigan and i would most definitely go back!! the owner (Jina) consulted with me over the phone before my appointment and she went out of her way to make an exception to squeeze me in between clients, accommodating for my short trip.

I am so thankful she was able to get me in because I absolutely loved how my hair turned out. I had bleach in my hair but wanted to lift out the orange and get my roots touched up. I showed an inspo picture of ashy caramel beige and walked out with purple-ish hair because the owner accounted for the color wash out. very smart!! Every step of the way was explained thoroughly to me and with 100% of my consent, no surprises. Find attached pictures for the before and after:)

On a side note for those who read other people’s reviews about how she’s mean??????? i feel this is misrepresented by those who might be more on the sensitive side. Owner Jina is like a cool boy-mom who is direct funny and blunt, but it’s with love. that’s how korean moms can be but it’s never meant for harm. she’s charming and funny i was having such a great time laughing the whole experience.

Staff are also very helpful and all hands on deck for the most efficiency!! this is why i prioritize booking a korean salon when the opportunity is present (barely any korean salons in michigan) because they will have you in and out to the best of their ability. (don’t forget to tip your shampoo girl she puts in alot of work to make your experience very comfortable.)

pricing is fair but not cheap. especially for a specialty service like bleaching, as expected. she’s well informed of hair of all ethnicities as well as how certain products works for certain hair types. she uses high end products to minimize damage and skin irritation (didn’t have any during my visit) let this serve as your insurance that your bleaching job will not be butchered here.

This was my daughter’s first time getting box braids, and I honestly think Mariah deserves a medal. Ava hung in there like a champ, but as expected there were a few moments when her tender-headed little self was completely over the experience. Mariah was patient, gentle, and professional the entire time. Also come through Yokii team with the lolipops and snacks, vibes, and cleanliness!

The braids are beautiful, neat, and exactly what we wanted for swim season. Most importantly, my daughter left smiling, feeling confident, and already planning her next hairstyle.

After my first time trying a sew-in/hair weave, Aliya did exactly what I asked for, but the results weren’t quite what I had envisioned or expected. She’s also fair, accommodating with my schedule, and always professional without ever making me feel rushed or like an inconvenience. And I have to say… Aliya probably has the best shampoo technique I’ve ever experienced! Her hands are magic — it’s like a massage and aromatherapy experience all in one. It’s so relaxing it has literally put me to sleep before (but I’m not tender-headed either and prefer a good scrubbing wash of my scalp).
