I have been going to Stitch and Sew for 15 years. I have never received bad service; on the contrary, my husband and I had a wedding and had to buy black tie formal wear. By the time we received the outfits and discovered we needed alterations, we only had a couple of days before the event. I explained our predicament and she said no problem and did not overcharge us. I even tried to give an appreciation tip but it was refused. Also, another time I did receive a call to let me know my alteration wasn't ready as per the date on the receipt you receive when dropping off clothes. High quality work at a very reasonable price. I've had dresses taken in and hemmed and pants shortened (I'm only 5' 4" so a lot of the things I buy need to be shortened). She works well with any fabric, including silk.
Wow! I've been to a number of alterations places around the greater Atlanta area and no one has ever taken such detailed care of my items.This is a one-woman owned business - Sue has to do the in-take, the measuring, the altering - yes. But also the space management, the accounting, and all the other things that come with owning a business. With all of this, I didn't expect so much care to be dedicated to my pieces!Absolutely would recommend this shop for your tailoring needs - even with the cash-only requirement (the Publix 30 seconds away has an ATM out front).
