Excellent professional service! I am pretty handy and Carl did a great job of helping me fix a broken door knob. Not only did they have the parts but gave me useful instructions on how to assemble it correctly —so it would stay in place. Thank you Carl and Decatur Lock and Key!!!.Service: Repair hardware

Once again I had a great experience shopping locally in Decatur. Needed a door lock rekeyed and another lock reoriented so its key goes in right side up. At first I thought with a shudder I'd have to go to Home Depot but then I remembered Decatur Lock and Key (on Ponce across from Taqueria del Sol). Open till five I got over there at twenty of and young man behind the counter took care of this while I waited, both for fifteen dollars! They've been in business since the 1920's. Give them your support to keep them around another century.

I have an antique automobile that is missing the keys to the glove box and the spare tire lock. A local Decatur auto repair shop recommended Decatur Lock and Key Shop as a team that may be able to rekey the locks for me. I made an appointment and drove my automobile there on the appointed date/time. They met me instantly, we talked through the options and within 45 minutes both locks were rekeyed, and I now have keys that work for both locks. Excellent service performed by highly skilled locksmiths. I highly recommend them.Service: Re-key lock

Currently we only offer mobile service. Our 3 locksmiths, with a combined 101+ years experience can handle almost any lock need that arises. Our lobby is closed due to lack of employees.
