I remember coming from another piano teacher that did not take as much care to teach me the fundamentals of piano technique, and was shocked at how much there was to learn through her teaching. Over the years, I greatly improved on my technique, got to learn piano theory, and moved on from playing easier pieces to more technically/musically challenging works. “Phil has been giving my son weekly guitar lessons for about for about 7 months now, and I can't say enough about how good he is with my 16 year old son. He is a great teacher, always consistent and communicates well regarding the lessons. He is patient, encouraging, and really skilled as a player and teacher (which is hard to find). My son loves taking lessons with him (after being with another teacher that didn't work). I've seen his interest in guitar and music in general grow tremendously since he has been studying with Phil. I highly recommend you give him a try...he's great with all ages and skill levels. Oh yeah, and he is also very reasonably priced for what he brings to the table!“
