Great experience! I went through the On Ramp program with John. This enabled me to jump right into the training classes with both the needed knowledge and comfort to fit in. The coaches in the training classes were very aware that I was new we’re both encouraging and helpful through my first session.
In addition to strength class there has been help and excellent nutrition coaching. The focus is on progress and not perfection! Great group of people.
If you want an experience where people truly care about you and your overall health check out Move & Breathe!

I’ve been a fan of Move + Breathe since its start as just Breathe Yoga! I no longer live in that area, but was intrigued by their offer of a 28 Day Nutrition Challenge that did not require you to be there in person. I was looking for an easy, logical approach to nutrition and developing a healthy and sustainable lifestyle. I reached out to a coach there, Marlene, who I know through other connections. She quickly got me involved in the reset and was my coach. The program is a very straightforward approach to nutrition and how all the areas of your life work together as a whole for health. Marlene was interested in my goals and challenges and was so helpful to provide guidance to me during the reset and then afterward for a time as I continued nutrition coaching. I’ve participated in many plans through the years and found this one to be a comprehensive and logical approach to use for the rest of my life. I would definitely recommend this plan and Move + breathe to anyone looking to build a healthy lifestyle.

I started taking yoga classes and then added in the strength classes and eventually signed up for nutrition coaching with Marlene. She was awesome, helped me lose 15 lbs and kept me motivated to continue my strength journey. Everyone here is so genuine and caring. They have truly created a fantastic community. Can’t say enough heartfelt thanks to Move Breathe

What an amazing workshop on snacking. I learned so much. It felt like it was personalized for me. I thought about the information the rest of the afternoon and realized where I need to do my “PAUSE” and use my mindfulness. I am starting to put this into practice. I know I won’t be perfect but I can keep trying. Thanks Move Breathe for the great information and the inspiration!!!

I joined Move+Breathe about two months ago and I’m so glad I did! The owners, John and Lauren, are incredibly caring, knowledgeable people. I am recovering from a back injury and feel very thankful that I have them to help me strengthen through the process. Every time I come in, they take the time to go over what modifications I should do during classes, on top of coming up with a specific workout regimen that would be beneficial and not detrimental to my recovery. Which is something you would not get at a typical gym. I noticed them being very attentive to other people recovering from injuries/surgeries as well and guiding them through workouts. All the staff members are very friendly. The studio is very clean, well organized and not overcrowded. I have taken a lot of classes here and so far loved every one of them!

I am SO grateful for the wonderful experience I had with Move+Breathe during the recent 28 day Nutrition Challenge Reset! I learned SO much with regards to nutrition, sleep, mindset, and movement. All of the nutrition coaches were amazing as they shared their knowledge and encouragement with our whole group. My personal coach, Christie, went above and beyond to check in with me, support me, and she was always willing to answer my questions and offer feedback. I cannot believe the positive difference I feel with regards to my energy level, mood, and overall well being!! Now that the reset challenge is over I look forward to continuing my progress with Christie on a one to one basis! The entire team at Move+Breathe is an absolute treasure and I can recommend them more! I wish I could give them 10 stars!!

I had been lacking consistent exercise and time for myself for many years. I don't count tennis as exercise simply because it is not consistent in time and quality exercise. I heard about Move+Breathe through a neighbor and friend. Being a quick decision maker, one day I just signed up for my membership. Site unseen. I found classes that first fit my schedule. As a busy mom and business owner, having it fit into my schedule is the best way for it to stick around. I started in Aug 2025 and never looked back.

Since starting this journey @ Move+Breathe and complimenting with nutritional lifestyle changes, I have transformed my body.

Lauren & John take care of the clients and the business. The business has to be sustainable in order for the clients to continue to be served. They, as business owners, are actively involved in and at the business daily. You'll feel more welcome here than anywhere. I was greeted by an informal welcoming committee the whole month of August as people recognized me as a new face. I am now part of that ongoing informal welcoming committee.

I am also now partaking in the nutrition and body scan services they offer. I'm ready to receive help to dial in fitness and nutrition goals. It's about damn time. I deserve it.

MOVE+breathe is AMAZING! I came after knee surgery & was able to replace PT w/yoga, because the Instructors were great at explaining modifications. Great class options & times. I haven’t had all the teachers, but Christie, Stephanie, Lauren, Amy & Jackie are definitely masters of their craft! I love the Nutrition Coaches & group support that’s available if you want it. Tara holds me accountable & I love it!

Move+breathe has been a great resource for me and my physical and mental health. I cannot say enough positive things about this gym. First of all, it is more than a gym. It is a community of like minded individuals focused on health, wellness and friendship. Every time I walk into a work out or yoga session, I feel a part of the community. I started with yoga over 15 years ago to work on my balance and mental health after a brain tumor surgery. I couldn't believe the progress I made by a consistent, intentional yoga practice. After a few years, they added the Move component with structured workout programs that includes weight strength training and cardio training that change from day to day and month to month. I was able to build muscle mass and decrease body fat that helped strengthen my core which was an added component to my balance. I can do exercises now that I didn't even know existed before. If I can't do something at first, modifications are made by the instructor especially for me. After a while, in most cases, I can work up to the intended exercise. I feel stronger, more confident and capable. Then they added the nutrition component. It was a missing piece for me. My health improved even more with the right knowledge of fuel I was adding to my body. My workouts and yoga practice produced even better results with the right eating habits. The nutrition staff is as amazing as the yoga instructors and movement coaches. All instructors, yoga, move and nutrition, are hand picked by the owners Lauren and John Busing to fit into their focus of a complete healthy lifestyle with fun, friendship and accountability. I look forward to coming to the gymio as we lovingly call it. I see my friends of all ages and genders that encourage me to be my best. I am 69 and in the best shape of my life. Who would have thought!!!! No excuses here. I just try even if my mind thinks I can't, sometimes, my body knows I can. Hope to see you there soon.

This gym/studio has changed my life. Like really. I hate exercise. This stems from a lifetime of being the last chosen in PE and a comical history of falling over my own feet. Yet I've tried it all - regular gyms, community centers, Pilates, hot studios, bicycling, boot camps - and nothing stuck. Then my constant pain and the osteoporosis and metabolic diagnoses finally led me to reach out to Lauren (yes, I've floated in and out of here before too) asking for support and accountability to get my health back on track. She enlisted her team members to get me signed up and to check on my attendance and individual needs to stay engaged. Then the phenomenal instructors (who called me by name and paid attention to my limitations), the warm membership, the variety of classes, and of course the stickers all kicked in and I figured out how to be consistent. Fast forward seven months and these things actually have all happened in the past couple of weeks. A fellow gym member remarked how much better I looked physically and energy-wise. Another commented that I must have been an aerobics instructor. A friend's child mentioned how strong I am. And a ballet teacher at a nearby studio complimented me on my lovely figure. Plus my pain is not the first thing on my mind every morning (huge win!). Not joking - MOVE+breathe has changed my life. Let it change yours.
