I take my dog here regularly for a bath and anal gland expression which also includes a nail trim. Several times they expressed the anal glands after the bath. One time they forgot the expression and had me come back to do them. This time they forgot to do the nail trim and I had to go back. The kicker was discovering a new charge for waste disposal. That’s right it’s $40 for expression and another $10 for the disposal. The entire bath (no grooming), anal gland expression, and nail trim is $92 every time. I asked to be compensated for the nail trim since I had to go back and the response was “no, but today is complimentary.” My dog HATES going to the vet and finds it absolutely traumatizing. To have to go back to finish a treatment I already paid for and not be compensated is UNACCEPTABLE just one time. Unfortunately, this was the third time.
Side note: the veterinarians themselves are great and were very helpful during my dog’s annuals. The front office is kind but understaffed- often empty. I think there is communication breakdown between the front and back. I was told I’d get a call from the manager today.. but unfortunately, I never did.

This practice misdiagnosed my pet, charged me extremely high fees for services I didn't authorize and I will not be returning to the practice. I do not recommend this practice to anyone with pets and values their hard earned money.

Stella has been going to Big Creek since she was a baby. They are remarkable. They are kind, compassionate, and they love Stella. They took care of Stella for a long period of time. They sent me pics of her and Stella was so happy and she was groomed and looked great and that put my mind at ease. I cannot express how great that team is. Many thanks to this very special team ❤️

We love Big Creek! We been taking our dogs and cats for almost 10 years. We moved further away and still drive 30 minutes to and from. The staff is always very welcoming, thoughtful and loving to our furbabies! Can not speak highly enough about Dr. Estes & Pollard and Dr. Prem has been the perfect addition.

Sadly, I had to say goodbye to Pixel, our old lady cat this morning. I just wanted to say the staff could not have been more kind or compassionate. They are wonderful people who made her feel loved as we sent her on her way. I'm genuinely moved by their compassion.

I have been taking my two cats to Big Creek Animal Hospital for a few years and they consistently provide good service. One of my cats has been difficult in the past but Devin and Dr. Pollard won his affection with treats.

In 2016 we brought home a little rescue dachshund mix named Han Solo, who rescued us right back. Big Creek Animal Hospital had just opened down the street from us, so we visited them with Han Solo and he felt right at home. This crew saw him through IVDD, a collapsed trachea, and large foreign objects lodged in his stomach at various times throughout his life. No matter what the issue was, Hans was excited to walk through the door at their practice. The staff became family, from Dr. Estes and Dr. Pollard, Devin and Maddie, JJ and Haley and every other person that encountered this pup throughout his medical visits and boarding. On the day this valiant, scruffy little smuggler of our hearts crossed the Rainbow Bridge, the entire staff came in to say goodbye. It speaks volumes for their excellence in care and compassion. I wouldn't take my beloved pet anywhere else.

I first started using Big Creek to my board my dog, Bennie, in 2019 when I would visit the area. Bennie is a rescue who had a traumatic start to life before being adopted and he is very particular about the people he trusts, which has made finding the right medical providers challenging at times. He warmed up to the staff and doctors at Big Creek quickly, and they have always gone the extra mile to make him feel comfortable. We now make the drive from Dawsonville for medical care for Bennie and our other dog, Ovi. We have had a great experience with many of the doctors, though the boys love Dr. Pollard and Dr. Estes the most, and the staff is always wonderful. Devin, especially, has always gone above and beyond from both a customer service aspect and as the boys’ vet tech! I can’t recommend them enough!
