New Concept Dominican Salon is highly regarded for its professional and respectful staff, providing a range of services including wash and set, silk press, relaxing, trim, and color. The salon is very clean and offers quick, efficient service, with clients often in and out within a couple of hours. Customers appreciate the quality of haircuts, silk presses, and deep conditioning treatments that leave hair smelling great and lasting well. The stylists are known for being polite, patient, and understanding of specific requests, making for a positive experience. While locs are not done correctly at this location, overall, it is considered one of the best salons in the area.
First off this is not a Dominican salon. The owner is the only Dominican, and was not there when I went. I’m not here to sound biased but where I come from, a Dominican salon has Dominican stylists on deck!. A Dominican stylist has a distinct style which not many cannot replicate. Therefore when I walk in an establishment I don’t expect to see a whole staff of non-Dominicans. It’s like going to an authentic restaurant and the cooks aren’t from that culture. It’s not authentic! Stop misleading people. Salon is overpriced for kids hair.

Over priced for poor work. I went here to get a wash and blow out for a braid appointment and they charged me $65. The blow dry was worse than what I could've done myself. They said it would've been cheaper if I got rollers and sat under the dryer but I don't understand why more work would be cheaper. You can go to Ashaali Dominican Salon and get a MUCH better wash and blow dry for $40, with faster service.
So this salon is HANDS DOWN one of the best in the area, once you clarify with the stylist they understand you're request. The salon is extremely clean, the stylist are polite professional and respectful however this salon specializes in wash n set, silk press, relaxing, trim, color, interlocking, however locs are NOT done correctly at this location,
