Columbus School of Music and Dance is a favorite place for many, described as a very professional studio with a relaxed and peaceful environment. The teachers are professional, sweet, enthusiastic, encouraging, patient, and easy to talk to. Everyone is nice, from the front desk employees to all the instructors for dance and music. Students of all ages and abilities enjoy their classes, with children having the best time in piano, ballet, and tap/jazz combo classes. The school offers reasonable prices compared to others in the area. Students learn and excel, and the recitals are beautiful, very well thought out, rehearsed, and prepared, sometimes performed at venues like the Springer Opera House. The staff does a great job informing students and classes of events and expectations. Many look forward to adding art classes or another instrument. The summer camps are noted as the most fun. A minor critique mentions frequent week-long breaks that can be jarring to learning, and that some furniture and equipment could use updating. However, the quality of lessons receives high praise, and it is a wonderful staff for lessons, highly recommended for creating happy memories as students learn.
This is one of my favorite places in Columbus. The teachers are professional, and sweet. The environment is relaxed and peace. My children have the BEST time in their piano and ballet classes. We attended the camps over the summer and they have been the MOST fun! I highly recommend this school! The kids enjoy it and that’s what’s most important. What we enjoy stays with us. Create a happy memory as they learn! Looking forward to Art classes and adding another instrument too for each of my girls!
My daughter LOVES it here. And We’ve been to several different dance studios before. our favorite was actually prodigy but this ended up being a better option for us. Everyone is so nice from the lady’s at the front desk to all the teachers for dance and also music. My daughter has learned so much over the few years she’s been going here and has excelled in what she loves. The recitals have always been very well thought out, rehearsed, and prepared for. My daughter loves their dance classes (Ballet & Tap/Jazz combo). Their prices are reasonable especially when compared to others in the area! Teachers are easy to talk to as well as patient with the kids.
