This all started when I asked a friend who is a building contractor in the area if he knew of a good septic company. We needed a complete replacement on the other side of our property and destruction of the old system. He told me the contractor they just used in a large commercial building was excellent and gave me Brown's Backhoe & Septic contact and website.After looking over the work on the website, I set up an appointment for a bid. I needed someone to repair my septic system after heavy commercial vehicles ran over the distribution line and chambers. It was an insurance matter, so I had to get three repair estimates. Eli, with Browns Backhoe Service, gave an estimate that was nearly 40% lower than the other two. Plus, Eli seemed to be more knowledgeable and easier to work with than the others. There were significant delays with the insurance payment but Eli did not let his estimate expire. The other two estimates were only good for 30 days. If you have a lake house *** attention *** this is your guy. Most lake houses have the back of the house near the corp line. This means the septic is likely at the front of the house and possibly the field lines above or beside that. My system had a sump pump in the basement and another effluent pump down in the septic to pump water up to the field lines. Most folks I called only do pumping, or never called me back, or once we started the conversation about my system ghosted me. Not Eli Brown. He dropped by to evaluate our system, then the next day obtained the site plans from the county to determine exactly where our field lines were, d-box location, and septic location....read full review
