What a cool place! They were very helpful but also gave me space to explore the instruments. I had no idea the difference it would make to play such a better quality instrument. It was also great that there is a variety of price points for entry level and more advanced.
Uke Republic is not a store, for a new ukulele player its an eye opening and educational experience and for a seasoned one, it's a pilgrimage. The owner, Mike, is extremly knowledgeable about what he sells and more and always enthusiastically willing to help with whatever ukulele questions or issues you might have, whether you purchased yours from him or not. I just go there for the cool free stickers though.
