“I’ve been tattooed by both Jean-Luc and James Cooper (shop owner), but everyone here is incredibly talented. Jean-Luc is patient and thoughtful and really wants you to love the process + the outcome of the work. James Cooper is an OG and takes his craft seriously, deeply cares about his employees and is very down to earth. Great personality. His art is phenomenal, and he’s in the shop working with everyone everyday mostly, unlike many shop owners who aren’t really involved in the everyday affairs or present often. Just a bunch of professional artists, fun guys who love what they do. The atmosphere is relaxed, has great music, a lovely aroma of incense, cool altars, and art everywhere. Happy to have ended up getting my art done here + looking forward to having something done by every artist there.“

“I honestly can't say enough about how wonderful my experience with the Tattoo Dojo has been, and in particular, artist Gabrielle. My original tattoo idea was for placement on just my forearm, but when I saw the quality and beauty of her work, I decided to get much more work done. Everyone I've met in their studio - Gabby, other artists like Erick, and their staff employees (Cara who is awesome too!), have all been incredibly helpful and kind when welcoming me into their space. And, I have to say, that space is gorgeous - clean, scenic, and pretty cool. Not going to lie, I feel cool just being there, haha. But most of all, the artists are kind, chill, super professional, and their work is stunning. I get people all the time who stop me in public - in restaurants, in stores, etc., and ask permission to take a closer look at Gabrielle's art on me and marvel at how pretty it is, and how well it has been done, too. I got color realism work done, but she and other artists do black and grey, and a variety of other styles as well.Bottom line, everyone there just has a great vibe, and the artistry for all their artists is on a level unlike anywhere I've come across before.Atlanta is a huge tattoo market with a lot of businesses, and Tattoo Dojo stands out to me as the highest quality - for the artists themselves, their work, and their studio. I feel really lucky to have found them, and I know this is where I'll be going back to for any tattoos I want to do in the future.“
