Dr. Myers performed partial knee Makoplasty on me in 2017. Started PT and my knee swelled to three times its regular size, so I couldn't start any strength conditioning. Six month post-op with Dr Myers, my quad had atrophied. More PT in-house didn't help. Finally I consulted with a Duke University Orthopedist. His X-rays showed that the Makoplasty device was put in crooked, which was why my leg was bowed and I was unable to straighten it. Dr. Myers denied it was crooked and said I was bow-legged so the device had to follow the curve of my leg. (News to me.) Fast forward SIX YEARS of living in constant pain. I finally got up the courage to have another surgery. New doctor did a full knee replacement and noted there was encapsulation in the back of my knee that was never addressed. He straightened my bowed leg, and with PT, I am close to being able to fully flex. I am frustrated and angry that I went through years of pain and deformity because of Dr. Myers. His arrogance and over confidence is a hindrance IMO, and he needs to find some humility. I hope that I'm the only one who has had this experience.

Dr. Myers is an outstanding surgeon. However, because Dr. Myers’ practice failed to file my insurance in a timely matter, Blue Cross Blue Shield advised I was not responsible for the amount his office did not file within required time limits. Unfortunately, before I knew that, Dr. Myers’s office billed me the extra and I paid that overage my insurance would have covered. BCBS said it would be the doctor’s responsibility to refund me. Dr. Myers would not. I had already paid about $3500 out of pocket for PRP treatment and much in co-pays for PT. The extra mattered to me!In addition, that overage was for PT by his incredibly unprofessional therapist who used vulgar language, discussed patient persons’ medical information (including prescription drugs) in front of other patients, and he greatly insulted and disrespected me as a female. He also told me I would not be able to continue my law enforcement work and would be much worse requiring knee replacement. Dr. Myer did not tell me that and I have continued with no problem. I know others who had that same experience with his PT.

I see a lot of good reviews for Dr. Myers. My experience could not be further from the truth. I experience chronic osteoarthritis pain which nearly cripples my physical abilities of my right arm post shoulder surgery. The activities it's taken me away from is just as bad as the physical pain. I'm a young man and thought that I could use my shoulder again to do what I like to do after surgery. His surgery ruined most of what I enjoy in life. If I could give him negative five stars I would.

The Dr is excellent. He takes the time to listen to you and then presents the best options available. The surgery went A+ (knee) and the follow up appointments and the office staff are great too.

If the front desk knows Dr Myers is an hour behind watch out you’ll not be informed. I don’t understand that at all. It’s very inconsiderate and an unprofessional way of doing business. Communication is important and this is an ongoing struggle with this practice.

Dr. Myers has treated myself and my family for several years. The only orthopedic surgeon I would trust in the area. Hands down the best ACL surgeon. Sometimes there is a wait to see him but just know it's absolutely worth the wait. Highly recommend!!

I had been to multiple doctors about my prior knee replacement hurting me so bad to only be told there was nothing wrong with it. I was referred to Dr. Meyers who diagnosed and repaired my painful knee to my extreme satisfaction. He is a very caring and passionate Doctor who cared enough to help me. I’m very thankful to Dr. Meyers and his staff and would recommend him highly. Thank you Dr. Meyers for caring! Gracie Webb
