My iComfort thermostat bit the dust like they always do. Don't ever let your HVAC vendor install one of those things. I decided to move to a different smart thermostat and needed the proprietary wiring sorted out. Moncrief was able to get this done and the technician Edie was able to help and was very professional and helpful. Just a perfect example of customer service. Another note: Moncrief didn't install the prior thermostat.

My first experience using Moncrief and I was generally satisfied. Communication was very good, the tech arrived on time and he was very thorough and professional. I had sticker shock at the $369 invoice for a routine semi-annual inspection. Ours is a tiny 1 BR, 1 BA condo which requires a visit to the roof-top for compressor diagnostics, so I understand that’s out of the ordinary and there’s an incremental cost tied to that. I had also received a 40% off discount email, but alas it did not apply to condos I was told after the fact even though the email didn’t disclose it. So yes, the service was above par but the cost renders Moncrief not a good fit for my future needs.
Marvin was professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. He was able to find the source of the problem which was not the HVAC system. He also made additional recommendations regarding the HVAC system and additional services that Moncrief offers. Thank you Marvin and Moncrief for your prompt response.
