About Georgia Sports Physical Therapy
Georgia Sports Physical Therapy (GSPT) is a sports medicine facility that specializes in treating and preventing injuries suffered from athletic activity. Their talented team, with amazing physical therapists like Lamar, develops customized treatment plans for each individual client, using objective tests to identify the original cause of the injury. GSPT's approach is detail-oriented, and they pride themselves on going above and beyond to ensure their patients' physical goals are obtained. Clients receive individual attention, efficient diagnosis, and swift recovery strategies. The team is truly skilled, studied, and intuitive, listening to clients and making adjustments around their needs. They are great listeners and very thoughtful, helping clients return to their activities quickly.
Lamar is everything you want in a sports PT: knowledgeable, thorough and easy to work with. I've sought him out for various running-related niggles, and he always finds the root cause of the issue and helps address that so you can be on your way (and back on the pavement) as soon as possible. He is also excellent at using dry needling where necessary (but not any more places than necessary), and I have full trust in him to use the needles on me (which required a bit of a mental leap on my part). On top of all that, he is one of the nicest people you will meet!
I’ve been seeing Dr. Wyatt for awhile now due to runner’s knee, and he is the best! When I first came in, I was in so much pain I couldn’t run at all. Now, I’m back to running and nearly back to normal. In addition to being great at his job, he makes PT fun (which I never thought I would say)!
This is a public shout out to GA Sports Chiropractic / Ga Sports Massage and Georgia Sports Physical Therapy for their incredible support and encouragement over the past year or so. Today, I ran 11 miles with no pain. Even when other medical professionals had written me off and, at times, when I had nearly given up the thought of running pain-free, Collette, Josh and Lamar never have. They continue to give me the tools I need to be active and most meaningfully, they have kept me on my trails. I know there is more work to be done but I thank them all for their care thus far. Special thanks, too, to Dr. Hsu @Northside Sports Medicine for the time and attention to my situation. You folks make up an amazing team!
