I came here for another opinion after another alteration place wanted to charge way too much money to replace a zipper. The lady here said she was going to try to fix the original zipper and if it didn’t work, then she would remove it and replace it with a new one. She was able to fix The original zipper for a reasonable price. This meant a lot to me as the item of clothing has a lot of sentimental value. I appreciate that. She even tried instead of just assuming she had to replace it. Really glad I stopped here! It was also ready when they said it would be.
I’ve been using this tailor for over 30 years. He is the absolute best tailor in town. They can make a pair of shortened jeans look like they came from the factory. Hemming, taking in slacks, shortening sleeves, his work is perfect. The shop is def not the cheapest! But if you want perfection for your expensive clothes; it’s worth the price. I read the last couple of reviews and can’t believe some of the stories. They seem odd to me. I’ve used them over 100 times and never had pockets sewn shut or items not ready after 3 trips. If you want the best tailor in town and are willing to pay a little extra, this is the place.
I needed a dress to be altered because it was too long. A colleague at work recommended El-Gant. I was very happy and pleased with their work and the dress turned out perfect. The alteration was also done in a timely manner. I cannot recommend this place enough.
