Commercial Truck Repair near Atlanta

“Folks, bring your one boxes down to the professionals at the DPF guys. They do a thorough inspection, maintenance, and cleaning of the one box system. I drove specifically to Atlanta to have this done to avoid the Freightliner “high milage truck needs one box replacment” scenario with my 2018 Cascadia with 850,000 miles. If you bring your truck down they have a very knowledgeable/professional mechanic onsite to remove and reinstall the one box at an extremely reasonable price as it will need to be off the truck for the DPF Guys to perform their work.

After inspection they found that my DPF filters were surface cracked and needed to be replaced. They called me to let me know and kept the old ones on hand to show me where the cracks were. They had them onsite and ready to install, again, very reasonable price with warranty and with all of the parts it is a fraction of the price of a new one box. They even scope and blow out the SCR to make sure it is still reliable for use. They will walk you through and show the process, not hiding information. Very honest business.

Two weeks go by after my service with them and I end up with an outtake nox sensor failure due to age of the sensor. I bring it into Freightliner to replace only to be told the “age of the truck needs a new one box”. When I explained that I had maintenance done two weeks prior with all of the steps including new DPF filters they of course weren’t buying it. I finally put my foot down and told the to replace the sensor and nothing more. They did, ran a regen and scr and everything works like it should.

During this Freightliner interaction I reached out to the DPF guys and James the mechanic onsite and we all concurred it was the sensor and nothing more. Reassuring that even after the service they will walk through these scenarios with you in case anything may have gone wrong.

Do yourself and your budget a favor, get your one box maintained before it becomes an issue and has you tied up at a Freightliner demanding the one box shuffle.
