The staff is very friendly, the facility is very clean, and each appointment is very speedy! I've never been to such an efficient vet. I have been three times recently, and each time, I've been in and out within 30 minutes without a wait. This place is great!

Our miniature schnauzer has been a patient here for around 8 years. We have been so happy with her veterinary care. Dr. Horner is amazing. We used to live two hours away and would bring her into town just to see Dr. Horner. Our pup will never go anywhere else. The team here is amazing. They truly care about their patients. We have full trust in Brookhaven Animal Hospital and our 13 1/2 year old pup is very healthy for her age due to her great care here!

Our dog has been a patient at Brookhaven Animal Hospital for over 6 years and we could not be happier with the care she has received. The staff are extremely caring and patient centered. All the vets in this practice are wonderful, but we have a special affinity towards Dr. Dillard, as she has performed a couple of surgeries on our dog and always offers the most kind and considerate care. Highly highly recommend!!

The service in this vet has slid consistently in the last 5 years. Overcharging, no call backs, can't get through to make an appointment. So frustrated and am now leaving to go to a new vet to get my dogs ear infection treated. What a shame.

As a concerned pet owner, I feel it’s important to highlight some experiences that prospective clients should be aware of. While the clinic presents itself as an emergency facility, there are significant limitations in their ability to handle certain urgent situations. Despite past claims of being an urgent care hospital, overnight monitoring of pets is no longer provided, which can be alarming for those expecting continuous care.
Additionally, I noticed recurring issues with communication and attention to detail. On multiple occasions, medications were either delayed or forgotten during pickup, and personal belongings such as leashes and collars were not returned unless specifically requested—sometimes requiring multiple follow-ups. There’s a palpable sense of the staff being overwhelmed, often leading to rushed interactions that can come across as curt or dismissive.
Of particular concern is the overall tone set by hospital management. The environment feels strained, and this reflects in how situations are handled on the floor. A more professional, patient-focused leadership approach would greatly benefit both the team and the clients.
While the veterinary staff means well, the current structure and oversight raise red flags for anyone expecting reliable emergency services or attentive boarding care. Transparency and accountability are crucial when it comes to pet health, and I hope improvements are made to better serve the community.

Too long; don't read: scammed out of $160. would not trust them with my pets.
One of my 2 cats ate a string from her toy overnight. Worried about it getting stuck inside and causing bigger issues, my husband brought a look-a-like string to the Brookhaven Animal Hospital to ask them what we should do (wait and see, bring the cats in, etc). The receptionist brought the string to the vet to see what it was like. Then my husband was told to bring both cats in so that they could do imaging to see which one ate the string. The plan was to then induce vomiting on whichever cat ate the string. Sounded simple. He returned at the appointment time with both cats. The vet looked inside their mouths (?), weighed them. Then the vet told my husband that imaging actually wouldn't be able to see the string, and it was too late from the potential time the cat ate the string for the induced vomiting to work. We were then charged $160 ($80 per cat) for the evaluation and told to come back if anything changed, despite no new information learned or intervention done.
Unclear why the recommendation changed from the time my husband brought in the example string initially to when he went in with the cats. The only thing that changed was that the cats were present the second time and the clinic could charge a fee. Seriously considering reporting this to the GA board of veterinary medicine for fraudulent billing because the whole thing was scammy.

Everyone here took such great care of our kitty! We had an unfortunate sudden accident with her tail and they were so quick to take care of her. Would not hesitate to bring her back here. Thank you so much!

Brookhaven Animal Hospital has taken care of our fur babies for years, and the care and follow-up for their patients is second to none. Dr. Horner is the absolute best, and even when my 17-year old cat peed on her, she still had a smile on her face. We greatly appreciate having vets who take such good care of our animals!

Brookhaven Animal Hospital continues to impress me. From their expertise, to their attentiveness, and most importantly-kindness to our pets and humans alike. We are so thankful to have veterinarians we can trust and feel safe going to.
