They take great care of them and are very understanding and communicative about their needs. It is possible to make an appointment or request meds through the app or by texting. A callback from a vet can be received instead of coming in for an appointment when there is a minor issue.
Dr. Carr is absolutely fantastic. We have been patients of Brookhaven Animal Hospital for about five years now, and I truly cannot say enough good things about Dr. Carr and the entire team.
Our sweet girl is now 15 and has been struggling with arthritis. We initially took a more conservative, non-invasive approach with oral medications and supplements. I had a really upsetting and disturbing experience with my kitty when I had to go into her Animal Clinic here at Brookhaven, having to make a decision to put her to sleep to ease her pain. In the middle of this situation before she was even put to sleep and I am holding her in my arms they put an electronic device in my face and saying this is how much it’s gonna be, of course I was shocked that they did that at that moment in time, never had this happen before and the other times I’ve had to have one of my babies put to sleep, I express my annoyance. Brookhaven Animal Hospital was able to get my senior dog in as a new client to receive an echocardiogram within 2 weeks. Dr. Horner has been fantastic to work with- makes phone calls, returns phone messages, sends emails, etc… Additionally, their price for the echocardiogram was ~$200 less than the specialist hospital, with the ability be seen within 2 weeks.
