I visited Pete Auto Shop because I walked out to get into my truck for work and heard it turn over, but it wouldn’t start. Since I had no knowledge of cars, I called my insurance company and asked them to give me a jump start. They informed me that my bolt needed to be tightened by my battery (the small round screw-like thing). They tightened it, and I took it to Pete’s shop.
A few hours later, they called me and said, “Hey, your truck is good to go. There’s no light or anything. Oh, and you owe us nothing.” I was amazed! It was a blessing.

My daughter is away at school and her car died. Called and he immediately called her arranged a time brought new battery and installed right away. This is the second time using him and he will forever be her Athens mechanic going forward. Nice to have someone honest and reliable when her parents are too far way! We sent Pete a text late on a Sunday night (based on feedback from the UGA Parent FB Page) when our son returned from break to a dead battery in his vehicle. He was on location by noon the next morning and called us with a diagnosis- the car needed a new battery and auxillary battery. He had it taken care of in a jiffy and called/sent texts throughout the whole process as we are states away. He was wonderful to work with and I highly recommend his services. It was great knowing that even though we couldn't be there, someone knowledgable and reliable could give our son a hand.
