220 E Clayton St, Athens“In suffering a major infection to my eye it took an eye specialist and Adam's Optics less than a business day to treat and provide a road to recovery. I think they'd even stayed open late waiting on me and my myriad of doctor/pharmacy trips it took before getting there to Adam's Optics where I was met with a welcoming and friendly pair of lovely people who just had an interest in how my day is and getting the lenses picked I need.
Truthfully they were perfect.
As were the lenses! One a standard studious and sturdy type, much like the feel of the building and the other my open-mic go-to pair of circular punk-rock-opticals, or punkrocktips I'll say for short.
I'd never seen such a broad and brightened selection of chassis for the eyes anywhere I've been before. Factually saying this might be the best glasses store in the entire region.
To add compliment to compliment, LensCrafters (and a great employee there who recommended Adam's when I needed to find something in my Rx rapidly) had nothing like what I was really looking for.
I'd have never known what it is I really like in glasses had I never found my way to Adam's Optics.
If you're in town or nearby please give them a first shot as they're not a big corporate store and are stoically brick and mortar in a very lost to digital world.
Plus, their glasses are better and have style that doesn't flitter with the season, I'd say. Unless that's your style then I'd be surprised if there's not something there for you every fourth quarter too.
Much love to this small business doing very big things!

850 Prince Ave, Athens“This was my first visit to an eye doctor, and I felt well taken care of! For context, I think the last time I got my eyes checked was an eye test to drive and before that elementary school —and I’m in my 30s. Adrienne at the front test helped me figure out all the things my insurance covered (eg UGAs Anthem HSA plus eyemed covers the visit, really cool imaging, and like $200 towards glasses). Beth helped me figure out all the cool imaging tech as a newbie, and she was super nice! And Dr. Jenkins was really great about explaining terms and not pressuring me. I felt really informed and supported! And they didn’t pressure me to buy anything - which was great. Will def come back for my eye needs!“
