I recommend EAJJ because it has personally helped me build strength, mobility, confidence, and problem solving under pressure; while keeping me humble and mentally sharp. BJJ, It’s one of the few things that trains the body and mind at the same time.

East Athens Jiu Jitsu is a top notch gym! As someone with six years of experience, I have seen a ton of great gyms while traveling. East Athens is one of the nicest experiences I have had while traveling. After reaching out to multiple gyms in the area, JR, East Athens’ owner, was by far the most receptive before I even stepped foot in the door. The space itself is very clean and the culture is great. JR’s instruction was detailed and relevant, some of the better coaching I have seen over the years. This was apparent in the skill of even the beginners at this gym. If I were to live in Athens, I would definitely call this gym home!

East Athens is absolutely the best gym I’ve trained at in terms of skill level. Despite it being a smaller gym, the technique is truly world class as he came from many great partners and literal world champions. The community and interactions is great as well, and he truly cares about each and every one of us. Another great aspect is the price, you’re getting world class technique for such a good price (less than half of what you’d pay if you went to any other gym in the state of Georgia for elite teaching.)
