The place is dialed—clean, well-maintained, and everything runs smoothly. You can tell they take pride in keeping the environment consistent and professional.
Alex, the manager, really stands out. Easy to talk to, knows what she’s doing, and makes sure you’re taken care of without any pressure. That kind of leadership shows throughout the whole place.
If you’re in Winter Park and looking for a tanning spot that’s clean, reliable, and well run, this is the one.

I’ve been a member here since 2014 and have never once been asked to show ID just to tan. Today, out of nowhere, I’m told my ID has to be scanned—and because I didn’t have my wallet, I was turned away.
What made it worse was the attitude. An eye roll when I hadn’t been helped yet, and clear reluctance to even check me in. Then I’m told there’s “nothing she can do,” which simply isn’t true.
Let’s be real—if a scanner doesn’t work, any competent business enters the information manually. So this wasn’t a “can’t help” situation—it was a “won’t help” situation. Big difference.
I wasn’t upset about missing a tanning session. I was upset about being dismissed, lied to, and treated like I wouldn’t notice the difference. It felt like a shortcut because the store was busy, not a policy that couldn’t be worked around.
After over a decade of loyalty, that’s incredibly disappointing. Sometimes people just need a small moment to reset their day—and today, that was denied not because it couldn’t happen, but because someone chose not to make the effort. She should loose her job. She knows better . Find a solution don’t turn customers away. Because you don’t want to work.

I had a really frustrating experience. I drove about 30 minutes to get there because I’m leaving for a trip and wanted to get a spray tan beforehand. Once I arrived, I ended up waiting around 40 minutes while staff tried to resolve computer issues because they couldn’t swipe my card.
After all that time, I was told the issue must be my card, which didn’t make much sense since I’ve used that same card with this company before and even earlier that same day without any problems.
In the end, after waiting that long, I still wasn’t able to get the spray tan I came in for. I understand that technical issues happen and I don’t necessarily blame the staff, but it would have gone a long way to hear something like “I’m really sorry you’ve been waiting so long and unfortunately our system still isn’t working.” A little acknowledgment of the inconvenience would have made the situation feel very different.
Between the 30-minute drive and the 40-minute wait, it ended up being a lot of time wasted, which was really disappointing—especially since I came in before a trip.
Considering how they cared so little how much time of my time they wasted, I would not be using any of their locations in the future.

If I could leave a general review on South Beach, I would be doing that, but I’m gonna leave it on this location since I do tan here. It is very discouraging to see that the company was sold to Zoom tan. I’ve been tanning at South Beach for a very long time. And as a customer, I want options for beds besides stand-up high-pressure beds that feels like you’re in a cage. I also like some of the people that work at the counter and how they educate you on different types of lotions and beds. It is discouraging to hear that they will not be carrying the designer skin brand anymore. And if I wanted to buy Australian gold, I could go to CVS. Thank goodness I’ve stocked up on several bottles before they do away with them. It’s sad to see this happen. Not all change is for the better .

She helped me set up my membership, walked me through all the different tiers, and took the time to explain everything clearly, even while being the only one working and super busy. She also helped me pick out a great lotion and never made me feel rushed. Really appreciated how helpful and knowledgeable she was. Great customer service!

South Beach Tanning Company is fantastic! The staff is friendly, the service is great, and the tanning beds deliver amazing results. The salon is clean, well-maintained, and offers a variety of options. Highly recommend for a flawless tan!

Very friendly staff and helpful with information about creams and switching beds to obtain maximum color. Front desk even gave me an extra cap because I told her mine broke at home. Always a friendly smile going to this place 5 stars
