Florida Institute of Dermatology - Winter Garden

Recently I was treated by Dr. Ukatu for my annual total body screening and she is OUTSTANDING. Dr. Ukatu's supporting staff was equally outstanding; showing professionalism listening to my concerns; addressing my concerns; lead by Nurse Jaylyn. This is my second annual screening with Dr. Ukatu and with the great care provided I will be seeing her next July. Most important I know Florida Institute of Dermatology Winter Garden is there if any skin issues arise between now and July, 2026. I like these folks :)

Dr. Wangia, a distinguished dermatologist, demonstrates exemplary clinical acumen. His meticulous examination facilitated the early detection and immediate excision of a basal cell carcinoma. In stark contrast to my prior experiences, where physicians hastily prescribed antibiotics post-biopsy, Dr. Wangia employs a judicious approach, reserving antibiotic intervention solely in the presence of overt signs of infection. This prudent stance is laudable, as superfluous antibiotic administration can precipitate deleterious effects on the immune system.

We feel lucky to have the Florida Institute of Dermatology so close but would go there even if on the other side of town. Dr. Wangia, his staff, Lucy are all wonderful. Extremely skilled, knowledgeable providers who care.
