Amazing experience! Jessica has a gift, she is the best hair stylist Ive ever had, hands down. I couldn’t recommend her enough.

If I could give this place for nails zero stars I would. I went to a butcher shop not a nail spa apparently. Please don’t get your nails done here. Or if you do please make sure it’s not the same lady that did this to me! I didn’t get her name but she has short curly hair. The only thing that saved them from me just walking out was this VERY KIND young lady Carolina she told her name was saved me and VERY softly and kindly tried her best and went out of her way to make me feel better. If I wasn’t for Carolina I would have walked out in the middle. Multiple times o told the First Lady she was hurting me. It seemed like she was in a rush to leave. And multiple times she cut me until she got to my thumb and she cut me so badly I cried and had to tell her to stop and that’s when Carolina was so kind to help me and finish my nails. Worst experience I’ve ever had getting my nails done somewhere.

Went to Applewood Spa for the first time today & loved it. Had the BEST MASSAGE EVER by Bibiana, who also did my facial which was also amazing. Seriously, I will be a client for life!

This is for my last experience at the salon. I had told the hairstylist I’ve been seeing (Paula) not to use the highest setting on the flat iron. I have a bad feeling so I ask to check the flat iron and it’s turned all the way up to 480. No wonder when I wash my hair it smells like burnt eggs when I had gotten it flat ironed previously. I tell her to turn it down because I’d ALREADY communicated that I didn’t want the flat iron turned up all the way. She shows me she turns it down to 410 which is perfect for me so I relax bc I should be able to trust the person doing my hair. Then when she gets to the middle doing my hair I hear the flat iron click multiple times I turn my head back and ask if she’s turned the heat up and I look at the flat iron and it’s back at 480. After catching her she tells me she accidentally pressed the buttons which is nonsense. I shouldn’t have to look over my shoulder worried I can’t trust the stylist doing my hair. I simply asked that she didn’t use the highest setting and she went against my wishes. I felt very disrespected. Unacceptable I will NOT be back.
EDIT: in response to the owners message saying “there’s no way to turn up the flatiron” … there is a way to lower and turn up the heat because Paula showed me the flatiron and asked if the temperature was okay. Then after she turned it up I asked to see it again and she turned it back down to 410. I physically watched her press the button on the flatiron up and down. So the response is just a blatant lie.

Maylen was my stylist. Everything was perfect. Salon was very relaxing and enjoyable. My haircut and style were fabulous. I highly recommend the salon and my stylist Maylen!
