“Dr Nyree is fantastic at getting to the root cause of your illnesses. As an individual that was put on thyroid medicine when I was 12 as I had a goiter, I was brought into the western medicine big pharma system at a very young age when in reality they should have done proper bloodwork to determine if it was a result of an iodine deficiency as goiters are commonly caused by iodine deficiencies. In addition, they should have been doing testing for gut issues as a thyroid issue is an autoimmune issue. All autoimmune issues are a result of a gut issue and as Dr. Nyree says, “Heal the belly and you will heal the body”. But time marches on and I then began to develop other autoimmune issues such as Shingles, and then a few years later a rash on my neck and back which I refer to as my itchy scratchy as it was extremely itchy and painful. That is one of the first tests that Dr. Nyree suggests is complete food allergy testing so you know exactly all of your triggers and what to stay away from. I have been working with Dr. Nyree for a little over a year and during that time some of the extensive bloodwork that Dr. Nyree did exposed that I have Dermatomyositis which is the official name for my itchy scratchy. It’s mind boggling to learn that it was a simple bloodwork sample to determine the root cause. Through working with Dr. Nyree, I’m working towards getting off my big pharma thyroid medicine which is my ultimate goal.
