Same day appointment's - or even same week for that matter - are an impossibility. This makes care for a sudden illness impossible. Appointments are literally weeks, if not months, out. So if you have a problem like the flu or a bug you need to go to urgent care, CVS minute clinic or the emergency room, because this Wellmed office will not have an appointment open for you.Have also been trying to renew a prescription for weeks and they will not send the script to the pharmacy. It's unbelievably frustrating. Clearly I am now in search of a new doctors office- which is a shame because Priya Patel and Amanda are really wonderful PA's. Without Priya Patel and the rest of the medical staff, this review would be a zero, and I'd leave to find a new dr. The drs and nursing staff are incredible, but you have to make it through the poor women who work so unhappily in the front office / reception to get to them. As long as I've been visiting this office (years), the office staff has seemed overworked and frustrated. They approach everyone who comes in or calls for an appointment in much the same way: brusque, and with a sense of impatience. It's the strangest thing and I always wonder what the issue is. I've spent many hours over the years sitting in the waiting room waiting for my appointments. The staff in reception seem like they could be really nice, but they also seem overworked and without the support to manage appointments in an effective way. Getting an appointment any sooner than 2 weeks out is difficult, so this is not the doctors office for you if you need quick access when sick. A note to whomever manages this office: perhaps more support for the ladies upfront? My guess is that it isn't so much bad customer service as it is frustration for a system that does not work effectively or support the people entrusted with getting patients the help they need as quickly as possible in a kind and empathetic way. On a positive note: I typically see Priya and she is the most thorough medical professional I've ever seen. She listens incredibly well, asks pointed questions and then follows up personally about lab results. The nurses are also pretty incredible.
