When I went to 2 other accountants to start preparing to pay our taxes for last year (I'm a freelance contractor and my husband is a full-time employee), they both estimated that we would owe quite a bit. When I asked them to clarify, I didn't get a very clear picture of WHY we owed that much. Clearly, they had no idea what they were doing.
