I can’t say enough good things about the MacDill Auto Hobby Shop, especially Rod and Pete, who were absolutely outstanding throughout my entire experience.

I’m not a professional mechanic. I’m a YouTube-watching DIY guy who can read manuals, follow instructions, and take my time doing things the right way. Any time I hit a small knowledge gap, Rodd or Pete would point me in the right direction and, when needed, give me a hand or two. The support was exactly what you’d hope for in a place like this: knowledgeable, respectful, and encouraging, without anyone doing the work for you.

I was camped in the FamCamp and needed to do some emergency repairs and was glad there was an auto shop. I was able to do my repairs and finished up by closing. The shop was clean, friendly staff, and so glad it is open for military retirees and veterans. The next morning I received a call from Daniel Pepe that I had left my registration and insurance cards. I immediately returned to the shop and Daniel brought them to me. Daniel Pepe has a great positive attitude, honest, and he goes above and beyond. His performance is a credit to the auto shop, the community and MacDill AFB.

Solid staff with all the tools you need. Spent Saturday morning helping another friend replace gear shift. Manager said its a great place to rotate tires, change oil and brakes with plenty of lifts.
