AVS Equine Medical and Surgical Hospital is an excellent and clean facility with a kind, friendly, and caring staff. The veterinarians, including Dr. Lacey and Dr. Fisch, are described as wonderful, amazing, and great horse vets. They are known for providing quick and effective emergency care, even for new clients, and for correctly diagnosing issues. The doctors genuinely care about the horses, put both animals and owners at ease, and thoroughly explain treatments. Services include handling allergic reactions, chiropractic treatment, and surgical procedures. They are trusted for their skill and for referring cases to other vets when necessary for the horse's well-being. Clients express deep gratitude and travel significant distances for this exceptional care.
I love Dr Lacey and her staff. She is so personable and caring and has the horses best interest in mind. She is very knowledgable and I continue to enjoy my experiences with her performing chiro, breeding and foaling, and lameness issues.
Such personable people, Dr. Lacey and Ma are always there to count on (and of course the rest of the team), and are always happy to answer any questions. My horse Smarty is there right now, and although i hate him being away, I know hes in the best hands he could be in.
Hands Down the Best experience with our Mare who just foaled on Memorial day (4 days ago). She had huge abdominal and side swelling even after the placenta was out. We noticed she wouldn't lay down and it was hard for the baby to get her head around the swelling to nurse. Thinking the worst (poss. Internal abdominal tear/multiple hernia's), we called AVS and within minutes was txtd and sent pics. They called and kept in contact with us til we were walking through their doors with Mom and Baby in hand.
