Stanford Restoration completed work on our home for water damage. In the beginning they were timely in tearing the wall apart and drying it out. Once we decided to go through insurance and they had a portion of the money everything went downhill. There was a lack of communication. They showed up without telling us they were coming, then wouldn’t come for weeks at a times. The work took almost A YEAR to replace a small portion of 2 walls. They were unprofessional and completed sloppy work. They were satisfied to complete subpar work until we insisted it was completed correctly on many portions of the project. They were to repair stonework on a planter box. The stone was lined up incorrectly and haphazardly. They corrected it only after we insisted. They had another company complete the stucco work. We told them that it was significantly cracked at the top where it met the old stucco, but they did not correct it or even call the stucco company. Not long after, we had water damage once again and the entire wall needed to be completed all over again, extending the project once again. The stucco pattern did not even come close to matching our existing pattern the first time. It was closer after the stucco was redone. They shot a nail from a nail gun into our TV and broke the screen. They hit a water pipe in our living room and flooded the living room. They left cigarette butts in our lawn. They were uncooperative with the insurance company in providing the necessary paperwork. We later found out that they did not address all of the water damage and we had to hire another contractor to complete the other portion of the work without insurance. The other contractor completed about 1/2 of the amount of work in less than 1 week when it took Stanford a year to complete what they did. The owner was very rude to my wife and myself. He often ignored our calls and would not call back. He said to me “you expect perfection”. We expected the work to be done correctly. I would not recommend Stanford Restoration to anyone.
