Played Royal St. Augustine and the real headline here is Mike, the starter—former U.S. Marshal. And let me tell you… that checks out.
This man runs the first tee like it’s a federal operation. No funny business, no slow play, no wandering off—just smooth, efficient golf. Honestly, if every course had a Mike, 5-hour rounds would be a thing of the past.
He somehow manages to keep everything moving while still being friendly and cracking jokes. You feel like you’re both welcomed… and lightly supervised at all times.

Course was in great shape, people and staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about everything going on. Would highly recommend this course and will be a repeat customer when back in the area.
