The Disease Vector Education Center aka Mosquito Museum is awesome! This is a fantastic attraction for families with kids with free admission. The staff that runs this facility are incredibly passionate about what they do and create a wonderful environment for kids to learn and explore nature, biology and the insect world. The facility is beautiful and has plenty of exhibits. I was honestly shocked at how interesting it all is. As a taxpayer within the district I completely support this.

After serving two years as Finance Chair appointed by the Florida Secretary of Agriculture I would like to post the following: The AMCD separate district has lowered our tax rate 2 years in a row while expanding service in every part of St. Johns County. In addition we have gone 18 years without a mosquito borne human illness. The last 2 CPA firm audits were very complementary and found no deficiencies. Our aerial program now consists of 3 Bell 206 jet helicopters in mint condition. Mosquito 1 call sign will be used for powder larviciding and Mosquito 2 will handle liquid adulticiding.
